What’s within you?
Do you desire better quality outcomes in your life?
That seems a mute question as I can almost hear you say, “Of course, I do!”
Yes, you should.
The only problem is that you often look beyond yourself as you seek to follow that better path.
That must change.
To change the quality of your life’s outcomes, you must start to look inward.
Without realizing it, you determined the outcomes you have experienced thus far, not anyone else.
Those outcomes, referred to as the “issues of life,” came from your heart.
They show how diligent you have been at keeping your heart.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
The outcomes, lacking in satisfaction as they may be, came from ‘within you.’
They reveal the true state of your heart and the quality of what is there.
Change the quality of what’s in your heart and the quality of your life’s outcomes will change.
Change the quality of what’s in your heart and the quality of your life’s outcomes will change.
What is within you?
“What’s in my heart,” you must be saying right now.
“What’s within me?’
Well, they are the things you have learned over the years and have either allowed to control you or you decided to apply in your walk.
They refer to the convictions you have come to hold dear and chosen to live by.
If you are a principle-driven person, then within your heart are the principles you have received and believed.
They represent the forces that have powered your life over time.
As they change, your life is steered toward the new principles, and populated with the outcomes they produce.
If you are driven by instincts, then your heart is ruled by trial and error.
You may well be flying blind, and that’s perhaps why the quality of your outcomes needs to improve urgently.
It all comes down to “what’s within you.”
The kingdom is within you!
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; [21] nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."
If you aren’t satisfied with the outcomes of your life and desire an upgrade in quality, then you know that what’s within you needs to change.
That is, what’s within you is inadequate to produce the better outcomes you desire.
The next logical question to ask yourself is, “What should be within me?”
To achieve your goal, you must be interested in what to add to what’s within you to put you in a position to produce higher-quality outcomes.
I have news for you: The kingdom of God should be within you.”
It’s either that the kingdom isn’t within you yet or it is redundant within you.
Luke 17:21 is an eye-opener to the wise!
The kingdom of God is all that you need within you!
With the kingdom of God within you, you will operate on a frequency that can only produce better quality outcomes.
That’s simply the truth.
With the kingdom of God within you, you will operate on a frequency that can only produce better quality outcomes.
The pursuit of the kingdom of God is the best way to have all your needs met.
The reason you desire higher quality outcomes in your life is confirmation that all your needs aren’t being met.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
When you succeed in putting the kingdom of God in you, you will have all your needs met.
The higher-quality outcomes will become the order of the day in your life.
How to put the Kingdom of God within you
Yes, you can put the kingdom of God within you.
It is imperative if you are serious about upgrading the quality of outcomes in your life.
Let me illustrate how to put it using a parable that Jesus spoke as an example.
Then Jesus said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? [19] It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches."
The parable of the mustard seed is presented above.
Jesus used it to illustrate a principle - the mustard-seed principle.
One of the lessons in this parable is to appreciate every ‘seed,’ however small, and use it in line with its purpose to produce huge, unexpected but valuable benefits.
Many of us possess ‘mustard seeds,’ which we despise and neglect.
We underrate their potential because of their minute nature and lose a hidden opportunity to prosper.
We then go about complaining that the outcomes of our lives aren’t great!
Such people don’t have the ‘kingdom of God in them.’
The quality of the content of their hearts is weak.
Those who know the mustard-seed principle and practice them are wise.
They live in line with the dictates or code of conduct of the kingdom of God.
They obtain higher quality outcomes, reflecting the higher quality of the content of their hearts.
The kingdom of God that’s within you is therefore nothing but your practice of the principles of the kingdom, as expressed mostly in the parables of Jesus, that guarantee the highest quality of outcomes possible in life.
And these outcomes offer fulfillment, unlike those you have practiced to date!
Your higher quality outcomes are in the parables.
As can be seen above, Jesus used His parables to illustrate the kingdom of God.
What the majority treats as mere ‘stories’ hide the principles and mysteries that define the code of conduct in the kingdom of God.
We should look for all the parables of Jesus, ensure we find them, eat them, and fully digest them so that they will be the joy and rejoicing of our souls.
Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.
This is the real reason why a majority of people are not satisfied with the outcomes in their lives.
They do not have the kingdom of God within them.
They may have plenty or be wealthy like the rich young ruler, but all they produce cannot meet their ‘needs.’
Only what the kingdom of God in you produces can meet your needs!
It’s time to go after the kingdom of God!
Yes, you may be a believer and not have the kingdom operating within you.
You have to go after the kingdom of God and seek to understand the parables of Jesus and how they can be applied to the issues of life.
Then you have to commit to a lifestyle completely committed to applying them.
Only what the ‘kingdom of God’ in you produces can meet your needs!
